• Our laboratory spaces and offices are located in the Division of BioMedical Sciences within the Health Sciences Centre (HSC).

Core Lab Equipment

• Bruker 1276 CMOS Edition In Vivo Laboratory micro-CT instrument. Located within the Animal Resource Centre at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

• Synchrotron radiation-based micro-CT (SkyScan): Located at the Canadian Light Source National Synchrotron Facility: Biomedical Imaging and Therapy Beamlines

• Bone Histology Equipment: Diamond blade wafering saw, Grinding/Polishing unit, Vacuum pump/chamber

• High Performance Computing for 3D Rendering and Analysis: Software programs include AMIRA, NRecon, CTAnalyser, Dragonfly, Drishti

• Olympus BX51 Polarizing Light Microscope with digital camera attachment, retrofitted with Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) and fluorescence.

• Confocal Imaging, Electron Microscopy, and Histology Units within the Medical Laboratories in HSC.
